Cherry Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks soft margarine
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. almond extract
    4 eggs
    3 c. flour
    2 cans cherry pie filling or choice
Preparation
    Cream margarine, sugar, flavorings and eggs; add flour. Spread 3/4 batter on a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch aluminum cookie sheet.
    Add pie filling on top of the batter and then add the rest of the batter.
    Dot on top of the pie filling and bake. (Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.) Let cool for 1/2 hour, then drizzle icing back and forth on top of everything.
    Let set 1 hour and cut into squares.
