Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 qt. popped popcorn or 2 bags microwave popcorn
1 c. peanuts
1/2 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
2 Tbsp. molasses
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Preheat oven to 250\u00b0.
Mix popcorn and peanuts on a large cookie sheet and place in the oven.
Mix all remaining ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat; stir until boiling.
Bring syrup to hard ball stage (260\u00b0 on candy thermometer).
This takes 20 to 25 minutes.
Remove popcorn from oven and quickly pour the syrup over it.
Place back in oven for 15 minutes.
Stir, every 5 so that all popcorn is coated.
