Ingredients

1/2 c. soft butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. coconut
3 eggs
1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. white sugar
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. cream
Preparation

Blend the first 5 ingredients with hands until mixed.
Spread in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Place in a 375\u00b0 oven until golden brown; stir occasionally while browning.
Reserve 3/4 cup for topping. Pat remainder into 10-inch pie tin.
Cool.
Beat egg yolks until light yellow.
Gradually add 1/2 cup white sugar; continue beating until thick and light.
Add lemon juice; beat.
In separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff, adding remaining white sugar.
Whip cream; fold into egg white mixture.
Fold in egg yolk mixture and pour into crust.
Add topping and freeze.
Yields 8 servings.
