Swedish Meat Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 c. soft bread crumbs (use regular bread, crumbled)
1 c. milk
1 egg, beaten
2 medium onions, chopped
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
fat
1 c. hot water
1 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. cold water
hot cooked rice, mashed potatoes or noodles
Preparation

Put first 8 ingredients in a large bowl; mix thoroughly.
Heat 2 tablespoons of fat in skillet.
Form mixture into 1-inch balls and drop into skillet, a few at a time, and brown on all sides. Remove and keep in warm place.
Continue until all meat balls are browned.
Add fat as needed.
Add hot water to the drippings in skillet.
Bring to a boil.
Blend flour with cold water.
Stir into water in skillet and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Return meat to skillet and simmer on low heat 30 minutes.
Serve over rice, mashed potatoes or noodles.
Serves 6.
