Beer Batter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. flat beer (room temperature)
    salt to taste
    1 tsp. vegetable oil
    1 egg, separated
Preparation
    Place flour in a bowl and stir in beer, salt and oil.
    Stir to blend.
    There will be a few lumps.
    Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let stand in a warm place for about 3 hours.
    Stir in egg yolk.
    When ready to cook, fold in beaten egg white.
    Great for deep frying vegetables.
