Coconut Macaroons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. melted shortening (Crisco or butter)
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. coconut
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. sifted flour
    4 c. rolled oats
    1/2 c. nuts
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Sift salt, soda and flour; mix ingredients in order given. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.
    Press flat.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Makes about 4 dozen 2-inch cookies.
