Turtle Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box deluxe chocolate cake mix
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted
    2/3 c. evaporated milk, divided
    14 oz. light caramels
    12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Place cake mix, melted butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk in a bowl.
    Beat at high speed until well mixed.
    Place 1/2 the mixture in a 13 x 9-inch greased pan.
    Press to bottom (with wax paper). Bake in preheated oven, 350\u00b0, for 6 minutes.
    Cool to room temperature.
    Unwrap caramels and melt with 1/3 cup evaporated milk until smooth. Pour this over the cooled baked mixture. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and chocolate pieces.
