Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1/2 c. celery
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    1 onion
    1/2 c. green pepper
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    Cheddar cheese, shredded
    8 slices crisp and crumbled bacon or 1/2 to 1 c. Bac*Os
Preparation
    Layer vegetables in dish.
    Spread the mayonnaise over top. Sprinkle the sugar over mayonnaise.
    Sprinkle cheese and bacon over top.
    Let stand at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
