Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. whole wheat flour
    1 c. white flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    3 mashed bananas
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Blend sugar, shortening, beaten eggs and vanilla together well. Sift the whole wheat flour, white flour, soda and salt together. Add dry ingredients to first mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add mashed bananas and nuts.
    Pour in 3 loaf pans or 1 regular bread pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes, then it is ready to eat.
