Chuck Wagon Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef chuck, cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
    2 Tbsp. oil
    4 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 Tbsp. salt or less
    1/2 tsp., pepper
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 beef bouillon cubes, dissolved in water
    1/2 c. celery, sliced
    6 carrots, quartered
    1/2 lb. small onions
    3 medium potatoes, quarter
Preparation
    Thoroughly brown meat on all sides in hot oil; add water, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion and seasonings.
    Simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally to keep from sticking.
    Add vegetables; continue cooking until done.
    Remove meat and vegetables; thicken liquid for gravy.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
