English Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    6 eggs, separated
    1 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Beat Crisco and sugar.
    Add egg yolks.
    Beat well.
    Add flour that is mixed with soda and salt alternately with buttermilk and juice.
    Blend well.
    Add beaten egg whites last.
    Bake in 2 medium loaf pans in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or until pick comes out clean. Grease and flour pans well.
