1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla, almond or lemon extract
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk (approximately)
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; add eggs and beat thoroughly.
    Add flour and milk alternately, ending with flour.
    Bake in 10-inch tube pan about 50 minutes at 350\u00b0.
