Mother'S Cottage Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, separated
    3 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients, but egg whites.
    Beat egg whites stiff and mix (fold) into cake batter.
    Put into greased pan.
    (I can still see Mother's pan.
    It was blue and white granite on the outside and white on the inside, about 9 x 13-inch size.)
