Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. cubed potatoes
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 stick margarine or butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
    3/4 lb. Velveeta cheese
    2 c. milk
Preparation
    In a Dutch oven, saute onion in melted butter.
    Add potatoes. Barely cover with water.
    Season with salt and pepper and cook until well done.
    Stir in soup and add cheese which has been cut in thin slices.
    Stir until cheese is melted.
    Add milk and heat thoroughly.
    Can be served hot or cold.
