Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. softened butter or shortening
2/3 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
12 oz. pkg. M&M's semi-sweet chocolate candies (1 3/4 c.)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
Cream together the butter or shortening and sugars until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Blend in flour mixture slowly.
Stir in M&M's.
Drop heaping teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 11 minutes until browned.
