Almond Pimento Spread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. water
4 Tbsp. agar flakes
1 c. blanched almonds
1/4 c. pimento (fresh, canned or frozen)
3 Tbsp. flake yeast
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. dried dill (optional)
1/4 c. oil (optional)
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation

Bring to a boil the agar flakes and water, stirring constantly, until agar is dissolved.
Set aside.
Blend almonds with a little of the agar water and when the almonds are blended to a creamy texture, add the rest of the ingredients.
If using oil, add slowly while blending.
Stop occasionally and scrape sides.
Add the lemon juice to the mixture while still blending. Pour into plastic containers and refrigerate.
(Margarine containers are good.)
Makes 2 cups.
Refrigerate.
Will become firm, but spreadable.
