Triple Treats Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (11 1/2 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate morsels (2 c.)
    2 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. Kraft caramels
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 c. walnut pieces
Preparation
    Over hot (not boiling) water, melt chocolate morsels and vegetable shortening.
    Stir until smooth. Remove from heat.
    Pour half the melted chocolate into an 8-inch greased, foil lined pan, spreading evenly. Refrigerate until firm (about 15 minutes). Return remaining chocolate mixture to low heat.
    Melt caramels and margarine with water over low heat, stirring until smooth.
    Stir in walnut pieces until blended.
    Pour into the chocolate lined pan. Spread evenly.
    Refrigerate until tacky, about 15 minutes. Top with remaining chocolate, spreading evenly to cover caramel. Chill until firm.
    Cut into bars.
    Keep refrigerated.
