Ingredients

1 c. oatmeal
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. flour
1 egg, beaten
1 stick margarine, melted and cooled
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix sugar, oatmeal and flour (add salt, if desired).
Add remaining ingredients and refrigerate, covered, 4 hours or overnight.
Drop by 1/2 teaspoon on unbuttered foil on cookie sheet. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 12 minutes or until slightly browned. Cool on foil before removing.
