Deluxe Strawberry French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. toasted sliced almonds
    8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    15 x 5-inch Italian loaf bread
    6 eggs, beaten
    1/3 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    margarine
Preparation
    Drain strawberries, reserving liquid.
    Add water to reserved liquid to measure 1 cup.
    Combine sugar and cornstarch in saucepan.
    Gradually add liquid.
    Cook, stirring constantly until mixture is clear and thickened.
    Stir in strawberries and almonds.
