Indian Fry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. water (more if needed)
    oil for frying
Preparation
    In a large bowl combine flour, salt and baking powder.
    Mix well.
    Stir in water, about 1/4 cup at a time, until mixture forms a stiff dough.
    Knead about 5 minutes, until dough is thick and elastic.
    Pinch off about 2 tablespoons dough and form very thin round patties, using a rolling pin or hands.
    Fry in hot oil (365\u00b0), turning once, until brown on each side.
    Makes about 24 breads.
