Ho-Ho Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 layer size) pkg. devil's food cake mix
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1 stick margarine or butter, softened
    2 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 can prepared chocolate frosting*
Preparation
    *Open the can; soften over low heat in pan of water or microwave.
