Ruthie Wagner'S Green Bean Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium cans French green beans
    2 cans cream of mushroom soup
    1 large can French fried onion rings
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/4 c. milk or water
    1 c. all-purpose flour (do not use self-rising flour)
    dash of pepper
    2 qt. water
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Mix eggs, milk, flour, salt and pepper.
    (Batter will be thick.)
    Heat water to boiling.
    Press batter through the holes in a colander (preferred one with large holes), a few tablespoons at a time, into the boiling water.
    Stir once to prevent sticking. Cook about 5 minutes or until Spaetzle rise to surface and are tender.
    Drain.
    Toss Spaetzle with butter or margarine.
    Serve with gravy or just plain.
