Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. each: baking powder and salt
    3 beaten egg yolks
    3 stiffly beaten egg whites
Preparation
    Stir 2 cups milk into cornmeal and cook until the consistency of mush.
    Remove from heat; add 1 cup milk, butter, baking powder and salt.
    Stir a moderate amount into beaten egg yolks.
    Return to mixture.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Bake in greased 2-quart casserole at 325\u00b0 for 55 minutes.
    Serve with butter. Serves 6.
