Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. chopped onion
    3/4 c. chopped green pepper
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 (1 lb.) can (2 c.) tomatoes, broken up
    1 (1 lb.) can (2 c.) dark red kidney beans, drained (I prefer 1 lb. bag pinto beans), precook
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. salt
    1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
    1 bay leaf
    1 clove garlic or equivalent
    1 tsp. paprika
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Brown meat, onion and green pepper.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
    Remove bay leaf. Serves 4.
