Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. navy beans (Great Northern, 4 c.)
    1 lb. bacon, diced
    1 large onion, diced
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 c. mild molasses (Brer Rabbit)
    1 c. catsup (if desired)
    8 c. hot water
Preparation
    Wash beans and let drain, no soaking necessary.
    Mix together navy beans, bacon, onion, sugar, salt, soda, dry mustard, mild molasses and catsup.
    Add hot water; stir.
    Put in crock-pot and cook 12 to 14 hours on low, with high about 4 hours.
