Southern Family Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chuck or round steak (2 to 2 1/2 lb., 1-inch thick)
    4 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. water
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce or 1 1/2 c. tomatoes, 1/4 c. catsup and 1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. marjoram
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Dredge steak with flour; brown in hot oil in heavy skillet or Dutch oven.
    Remove steak and set aside.
