Butterscotch Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 2/3 c. milk
    1/3 c. butter
    1 c. sugar (brown)
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
    3 egg yolks
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix in saucepan, first 6 ingredients.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils.
    Boil 1 minute.
    Remove from heat. Gradually stir at least half of hot mixture into egg yolks (slightly beaten), then blend into hot mixture in saucepan.
    Boil 1 minute more, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
    Blend in vanilla.
    Pour into pie shell and bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
