Mexican Pecan Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
    1/2 c. milk
    dash of salt
    1/3 c. margarine
    8 large marshmallows
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix first 5 ingredients and cook to soft ball stage.
    Add marshmallows cut in half.
    Cool.
    Then add vanilla and beat into mixture until smooth and begins to harden.
    Add chopped pecans and drop on waxed paper.
