Brown Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Thoroughly mix shortening, sugar, egg and molasses.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add to shortening mixture; mix well.
    Chill dough.
    When dough is chilled, shape into balls the size of large nuts.
    Dip tops in sugar.
    Place cookies, sugared side up, on greased cookie sheet.
    Sprinkle cookies with 2 to 3 drops of water.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
