Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef chuck or round
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1 c. green peppers
    1 c. water
    1 c. onion
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. mushrooms
Preparation
    Cut meat into strips.
    Add soy sauce, toss and set aside, while preparing vegetables.
    Heat oil in a large frying pan or wok.
    Add beef and toss until browned.
    Cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes over low heat.
    Turn heat up and add vegetables.
    Toss until vegetables are crisp.
    Mix cornstarch with water and add to pan, cooking until thickened.
    Serve over rice.
    Makes 2 servings.
