Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) can sauerkraut, drained well
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
    2 Tbsp. chopped pimento
    1/2 c. oil
    salt
    pepper
Preparation
    Mix vegetable ingredients together in large bowl.
    Bring mixture of sugar, oil and vinegar to a boil.
    Turn heat down and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
    Pour over sauerkraut mixture and mix well.
    Refrigerate overnight before serving.
    Will keep in refrigerator for several weeks; flavor will improve.
    More sugar may be added to suit individual taste.
