Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 firm green tomatoes
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 c. meal or cracker crumbs
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cut tomatoes in 1/4-inch slices.
    Beat egg in bowl.
    Add milk, salt and pepper.
    Mix flour, meal or cracker crumbs and 1/2 teaspoon salt in second bowl.
    Turn tomato slices over in egg mix, then in the flour mix.
    Pan-fry in 1 cup vegetable oil at 350\u00b0. Brown on both sides.
    Drain excess fat on paper towel.
