No Bake Banana Split Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. margarine
2 c. crushed vanilla wafers
2 eggs
2 c. powdered sugar
5 bananas
1 (16 or 20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 large container Cool Whip
1 c. chopped nuts
maraschino cherries, halved
Preparation

Mix 1/2 cup melted margarine with 2 cups crushed vanilla wafers and spread in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch glass pan.
Beat the eggs, powdered sugar and 1 cup softened margarine for not less than 10 minutes.
Pour this mixture over the wafer crust. Slice the bananas evenly over the creamed mixture.
Spread the drained crushed pineapple over the bananas. Spread Cool Whip over the pineapple.
Sprinkle with chopped nuts and dot with maraschino cherries.
