Zell'S Chicken Pot Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 to 3 lb. hen
1/2 stick butter
1 chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1 can English peas and carrots
1 c. chicken broth
1 Tbsp. flour
biscuit mix for 10 biscuits
Preparation

Boil hen until tender.
Remove meat from bone and cut into small pieces.
Melt butter in ovenware pan.
Add onion and celery. Cook very slowly for 15 minutes.
Add can of peas and carrots; blend broth and flour.
Add broth mixture, chicken and salt and pepper to taste.
Top with biscuits and bake at 425\u00b0 until brown. If desired, add 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper or 1 can mushrooms as onion and celery cook.
