Pickled Peaches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. best cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. whole cloves
    3 qt. granulated sugar
    1/4 lb. stick cinnamon
Preparation
    Make a syrup of the vinegar and sugar.
    Place this in a kettle with a spice bag containing the whole cloves and stick cinnamon. Pare and halve the peaches, leaving an occasional stone for flavor.
    Peaches may be left whole.
    Cook the peaches in the syrup until tender, then place in jars.
    Fill jars with the vinegar syrup and seal.
