Asparagus And Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. fresh asparagus or 2 pkg. frozen
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 lb. chicken livers
    2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1/3 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Cook asparagus on low heat until almost tender; drain.
    Chop chicken livers and saute in 2 tablespoons of butter.
    Blend sauteed-chopped chicken livers with mayonnaise and onion to make a sauce.
    Arrange asparagus on broiler pan; top with sauce.
    Sprinkle with grated cheese and dot with 1 tablespoon butter.
    Brown in broiler 3 inches from heat.
