Mamma'S Cottage Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Swans Down cake flour
    2 tsp. Calumet baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. butter or other shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift flour once and measure the 2 cups; add baking powder and salt and sift again.
    Cream butter; add sugar gradually and cream together with milk.
    Add flour, alternating with the milk, a small amount at a time, beating after each addition until smooth. Add vanilla and bake in a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan in a moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes or until done.
