Grandma'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. lard or Crisco
1/2 c. sour or buttermilk
1/2 c. cocoa
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. boiling hot water

Preparation

Sift together cocoa, flour, soda and baking powder.
Set aside.
In separate bowl, mix together sugars, eggs, lard or Crisco and milk.
Add cocoa mixture; blend well.
Add vanilla and hot water.
Mix until well blended.
Pour into greased and floured pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
