Frozen Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    1/2 bell pepper
    3 ribs celery
    1 medium onion
    1 c. vinegar (white)
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. salt
    carrots for color (optional)
Preparation
    Shred cabbage; pour salt over.
    Let set for 1 hour.
    Squeeze out liquid.
    Add chopped pepper, celery, onion and carrots.
    Bring to a boil vinegar, sugar, water and celery seed.
    Boil 1 minute; let cool.
    Pour over vegetables.
    Put in freezer containers and freeze.
