Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. oil
1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
4 c. flour
2 to 3 Tbsp. chopped mint
Preparation

Mix all the ingredients.
You may need a little more flour if it sticks to your hands (add 1 tablespoon at a time).
Form into balls the size of an olive and put on a cookie sheet.
Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar (they spread).
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 6 to 8 minutes or until light brown and firm to the touch.
Makes 6 to 8 dozen.
