Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
    1/2 lb. pork sausage
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 c. oats
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp. (rounded) sage
    1 c. tomato juice
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Combine ground chuck, sausage, onion, green pepper, celery, oats, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and sage in bowl; mix well.
    Add tomato juice and egg; mix well.
    Shape into loaf and place in 5 x 9-inch loaf pan.
    Bake, covered, at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour. Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes longer or until brown.
    May make gravy from meat loaf broth.
    May substitute bread crumbs for oats and V-8 juice for tomato juice.
    Yield: 8 servings.
