Chicken Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. fresh green beans
    2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
    1 (2 lb.) can tomatoes
    1 onion, chopped
    6 carrots, peeled and diced
    2 stalks celery, diced
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 head cabbage, grated
    1 1/2 c. cooked, cubed chicken
    1 c. cooked rice or pasta
    2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
Preparation
    Cut beans in small pieces; toss with lemon juice and steam until tender.
    Combine tomatoes, onion, carrots, celery and pepper in stockpot.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer one to two hours or until vegetables are tender.
    Add beans and cabbage. Simmer 15 minutes.
    Add chicken and rice or pasta.
    Sprinkle with parsley.
