Stewed Crabs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 crabs (bodies and claws cleaned)
    5 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. grease from fried-out white bacon (salt pork)
    1/2 c. cornmeal, mixed with 1 c. water
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Bring water and salt to a boil. Drop crabs into boiling water with grease from fried-out white bacon. Cook until meat is white and crabs turn red. Mix cornmeal and water until smooth. Add to crabs and cook until thick. Sprinkle pepper over top. Serve hot.
