Pearl Barnes' Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 eggs
    1 medium (17 oz.) can fruit cocktail
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Beat sugar, eggs and margarine.
    Sift dry ingredients together, then add to mixture.
    Mix well; add fruit cocktail and all juice.
    Pour into greased and floured oblong 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Spread on batter
    in pan, 1/2 cup coconut.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes; then bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
