Hot Bacon Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp and reserving 1 to 2 Tbsp. drippings
    3 eggs
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. water
    1 c. sugar (scant c.)
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Keep pan with drippings warm.
    Mix remaining ingredients together thoroughly with whisk and pour into warm pan.
    Cook until thick and bubbly, stirring constantly.
    Let cool briefly (10 or so minutes).
    Crumble bacon over lettuce; pour on dressing and serve. Yield:
    Makes enough dressing to coat 1 large head of lettuce.
