Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. mashed ripe bananas
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream shortening; gradually add sugar, beating well.
Add eggs.
Mix.
Add bananas; mix until smooth.
Add rest of dry ingredients, stirring until moist.
Stir in pecans.
Pour batter into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Cool in pan 10 minutes.
Remove from pan to wire rack to finish cooling.
