Cucumber Pickles Aristocrats - cooking recipe
Ingredients

45 medium size pickles (4-inch)
5 pt. water
2 1/2 c. salt
1 Tbsp. ginger
1 qt. vinegar
1 pt. water
2 Tbsp. celery seed
3 lb. white sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
green cake coloring
1/2 Tbsp. whole cloves
1 Tbsp. bark cinnamon
1 Tbsp. mixed spices
Preparation

Slice pickles to 1/4-inch thick.
Make brine of water and salt to float an egg.
Let stand in brine for 7 days, stirring each day.
Drain.
Cover with water which contains alm the size of an egg.
Boil 10 minutes.
Drain.
Cover with water which contains ginger.
Boil 10 minutes.
Drain.
Simmer for 1/2 hour in vinegar, water, celery seed, white sugar, salt and green cake coloring to suit color.
Mix whole cloves, bark cinnamon and mixed spices. Seal while hot.
