Mexican Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can cream-style corn
    1 c. corn meal
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 c. milk
    1/3 c. melted butter
    1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 can mild, diced green chilies
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine corn, corn meal, eggs, salt, baking soda, milk 1/3 cup melted butter, 1/2 of the cheese and all of the chilies.
    Beat well.
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Put the 2 tablespoons butter in a 1 1/2-quart casserole, and leave in the oven until butter is melted. Pour the corn bread batter in the casserole; sprinkle the top with the remaining cheese.
    Bake for 40 minutes or until it tests done in the center.
    Serves 8.
