Vegetarian Chopped Liver * - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large onions, diced
    1/4 c. canola oil
    1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can peas, drained
    1/2 c. walnuts
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    3 hard-boiled eggs
Preparation
    Saute onions in oil until deep brown.
    Drain peas.
    Grind walnuts in processor.
    Add onions and process 1/2 minute more. Add peas and remaining ingredients and process with a few on-off bursts until combined and smooth.
    Serves 8 appetizer portions on lettuce plates.
