Cherry Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small box yellow cake mix or 1/2 pkg. regular size mix
    1 can Comstock cherry pie filling
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 c. walnut pieces
    1 stick butter or margarine
Preparation
    Spread cherries over bottom of square pan (8 x 8-inches). Sprinkle nuts over this, then sprinkle cake mix over it.
    Sprinkle the 2 tablespoons water over top of mix.
    Dot with butter slices. Bake 1 hour in oven at 350\u00b0.
